01Plug the board into your computer with a data USB cable (not charge-only).
02Hit Flash your board and pick the serial port in the browser prompt.
03If nothing appears, hold BOOT, tap RST, release BOOT to enter download mode.
04Keep the board connected until the installer reports done, then set up Wi-Fi.
If the flash doesn't take.
No port shows up
Most likely a charge-only cable or a missing USB-serial driver. Install CP210x or CH340 drivers for your board, then reconnect.
Connection failed
Put the board in download mode by hand: hold BOOT / IO0, press RST once, then release BOOT and retry the flash.
Wrong chip detected
The installer auto-detects the chip family. If it complains, double-check you selected the matching board above and that no serial monitor is holding the port open.
